Presentation and participation

The II STEAM Education Congress - STEAMEC 2022 offers the following topics: Education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics integrated into the Social and Human Sciences.

The event will be held on 23 and 24 June 2022 at the campus of the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander in San José de Cúcuta - Colombia. It is proposed to carry out a hybrid event which will have some face-to-face presentations (limited and defined by the Organizing Committee that will be transmitted via internet) in compliance with biosafety standards, while the others will be transmitted synchronously via the internet through the different communication channels available such as Facebook, YouTube, among others.

This will be a space for training and academic cooperation for the exchange of research findings aimed at promoting and reflecting on STEAM Education, with the option of presenting advances and/or final results of their academic work, for which the academic community of all educational levels and areas of knowledge of STEAM are invited to participate.

In the framework of the II STEAM Education Congress - STEAMEC 2022, all those interested in participating as speakers must submit an analytical abstract of approximately 400 words, accompanied by between 3 and 5 keywords, and at least 15 references. The analytical abstract should have the following elements:

• Title of the communication.
• Author(s), e-mail and academic affiliation.
• Thematic area in which the academic work is framed.
• Introduction mentioning the general objective, the context in which the research takes place, mentioning very briefly the theoretical reference and/or relevant aspects.
• Main findings and conclusions.
• References must follow the APA 7th Edition format.

Each participant will have 15 minutes for their presentation, followed by an additional three minutes for questions from the audience.

The communication proposals can be written in Spanish or English. To certify academic participation, each author or participant must pay the registration fee of $50,000 Colombian pesos and fill out the form found at the following link, depending on the type of participation.

All proposals for papers should be sent to congressteameducation@ufps.edu.co. The abstracts of the approved papers will be published in the proceedings of the event, which will have ISSN and can be downloaded from the official website of the event. In addition, the best papers may be referred by the Scientific Committee for nomination and possible publication in a journal of the institutions co-sponsoring the event. For this purpose, the author or authors of the academic work must organise an extended version that complies with the editorial policies of the suggested journal, for which they must review the information associated with the editorial process in order to fully comply with it.

Aimed at teachers at all levels of education (primary, secondary and secondary technical), researchers or trainees in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics, seen from the perspective of education and its applications; professionals in training and postgraduate students.
